Analysis of cyber-attack: Case study Hacking Team

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou kybernetického útoku na soukromou společnost Hacking Team z července roku 2015. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a deskriptivně analytickou. První část se věnuje diskuzi teorie kybernetického prostoru, kybernetické bezpečnosti a kybernetickému útoku. Druhá část práce analyzuje kybernetický útok na Hacking Team a data, která byla při útoku zcizena. Cílem práce je zasadit útočníka do teorie kybernetických útoků a identifikovat bezpečnostní implikace vzniklé ztrátou zmíněných dat.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis analyzes a cyber-attack on a private company Hacking Team that happened on July 2015. The thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and descriptive-analytical. The first part discusses theory of cyber-space, cyber-security and cyber-attack. The second part analyzes cyber-attack on Hacking Team and the stolen data from the attack. The goal of the bachelor thesis is to apply the theory of cyber-attack on the hacker and identify security implications caused by the loss of the data.
