Punishment in Victorian Public Schools
Abstract:
Práce se zaměřuje na formy trestů v tzv."public schools" v Anglii 19.století. Z důvodu porozumění hlavní části je nejprve nastíněn sociálně-kulturní kontext viktoriánské doby. Poté, se již práce přímo věnuje jednotlivým formám trestů, které jsou podloženy jak literaturou faktu, tak i dobovou beletrií.Abstract:
This bachelor paper concentrates on the forms of punishments in Victorian Public Schools. Firstly, in order to understand the second part of the paper there is mentioned a social and cultural context of Victorian period. Then, the paper is directly dedicated to the particular forms of the punishments, that are based on both the fiction and also on the non-fiction Victorian literature.
