Tato práce se zabývá komparativní analýzou dvou románů: Velký Gatsby spisovatele Francise Scotta Fitzgeralda a Ohňostroj marnosti spisovatele Toma Wolfa. Úvodní část zkoumá ideu amerického snu a její vývoj v průběhu americké historie. Abstract:
This thesis provides a comparative analysis of two novels: Francis Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby and Tom Wolfe’s The Bonfire of the Vanities. In its introductory part, the thesis evaluates the original concept of the American dream and its evolution throughout American history.
