Carbazole derivatives as chromophores for emissive polymeric sensors

Abstract:

Byla provedena literární rešerše emisivních polymerních materiálů a syntézy karbazolových derivátů. V teoretické části byly popsány nejčastěji využívané emisivní polymerní materiály včetně materiálů na bázi karbazolu či polystyrenu. Popsány zde byly rovněž ?-konjugované systémy s push-pull uspořádáním. Navazující část byla věnována běžným příkladům syntéz vedoucích ke karbazolovým derivátům. Především C-C cross-couplingovým reakcím, jako např. Suzukiho Miyaurově reakci či C-N couplingovým reakcím. V experimentální části byla popsána syntéza cílového chromoforu a jeho následná polymerace se styrenem vedoucí ke vzniku emisivního polystyrenového materiálu. Konečný chromofor byl charakterizován pomocí dostupných analytických metod (bod tání, 1H a 13C NMR spektroskopie, HR-MALDI-MS spektrometrie a DSC).

Abstract:

A literature search of emissive polymeric materials and the syntheses of carbazole derivatives has been done. In the theoretical part, frequently used emissive polymeric materials has been described including materials based on a carbazole or polystyrene. The ?-conjugated systems with push-pull arrangement were discussed as well. The subsequent part was dedicated to the common synthetic paths leading to carbazole derivatives. Primarily to the C-C cross-coupling reactions, such as Suzuki-Miyaura reaction or C-N coupling reactions. In the experimental part the syntheses of the final chromophore and it's following polymerization with styrene leading to the emissive polystyrene material has been described. The final chromophore has been characterized by available analytical methods (melting point, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, HR-MALDI-MS spectrometry, cyclic voltammetry or DSC).
