Informing women about screening for birth defects in pregnancy

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce zpracovaná na téma ?Informovanost žen o screeningu vrozených vývojových vad v těhotenství? se zabývá prenatálním screeningem vrozených vývojových vad a tím, do jaké míry jsou ženy o něm informovány. V teoretické části se zabývám danými vyšetřeními a také vrozenými vývojovými vadami, které lze pomocí těchto vyšetření zachytit. Dále jsem se zaměřila na účinnost a efektivitu daných vyšetření a jejich změny v průběhu posledních let. Zabývala jsem se také právními aspekty týkající se screeningu vrozených vývojových vad. V praktické části se zabývám měrou informovanosti těhotných žen, zjištěnou pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Zjišťovala jsem, odkud získávají informace a nakolik jsou tyto informace pravdivé a tedy užitečné. Na závěr diskutuji o celkových výsledcích výzkumu a zabývám se možnými doporučeními pro budoucí praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis elaborated on the theme "women's awareness about screening for congenital malformations in pregnancy" focuses on prenatal screening for congenital defects and the extent to which women are informed about it. In the theoretical part of addressing the examinations and congenital defects that can be used to capture these tests. I also focused on the effectiveness and efficiency of the examination and their changes during the last years. I also dealt with the legal aspects relating to the screening of congenital defects. In the practical part deals with the degree of awareness of pregnant women, as measured by the survey. I investigated where they get their information and how the information is true and therefore useful. Finally, we discuss the results of research and deal with possible recommendations for future practice.
