The state religion in ancient Greece and Rome

Anotácia:

Abstract The thesis "The state religion of ancient Greece and Rome," deals with the influence of religion on Greek and Roman society during ancient times and is composed of five chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of ancient time and geographically, population stratification of both companies, their rights and responsibilities, key institutions and authorities, and how the election process. The second chapter deals with the ancestral religion that preceded the natural religion of the gods. In the third chapter we read about the influence of religion on the lives of individuals and families, holidays and during the games or the public. The fourth chapter provides a definition of religion. It discusses the emergence of law, its consistency with the development of religion and laws. There are mentioned some penalties. The fifth chapter describes the distribution of priests and cults, religious places, colonization and the decline of religion in both companies.
