Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá právní úpravou institutu účelové kategorizace půdy. V první až čtvrté kapitole je uveden vývoj půdního fondu České republiky, stručný historický přehled jednotlivých katastrů nemovitostí a úprava účelové kategorizace v nich, následně současná právní úprava účelové kategorizace půdy a popis jednotlivých druhů pozemků různými právními předpisy.
