Kolicíny sú exoproteíny s antibiotickými vlastnosťami produkované kolicinogénnymi kmeňmi Escherichia coli a niektorými príbuznými druhmi a rodmi čeľade Enterobacteriaceae. OmpA je významným proteínom vonkajšej membrány gramnegatívnych baktérií. OmpA sa uplatňuje ako receptor viacerých antibakteriálnych agens - bakteriofágov a kolicínov. Abstract:
Colicins are exoproteins produced by some strains of Escherichia coli and other related strains of family Enterobacteriaceae. They are lethal for related susceptible strains of E. coli. OmpA (outer membrane protein A) is an important protein of the cell envelope of gramnegative bacteria. OmpA is a receptor for several antibacterial agens – bacteriophages and colicins.
