Study of curvature of drawn fiber by image analysis

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá určením dvojnásobku střední křivosti povrchu kapiláry a vlákna vzniklého tažením. V teoretické části jsou odvozeny vztahy pro výpočet křivosti povrchu známých těles a je odvozen vztah pro výpočet křivosti rotačního tělesa popsaného křivkou. Experimentální část se zabývá získáním profilu vlákna a aplikací matematických a fyzikálních vztahů. Z pořízených videozáznamů jsou extrahovány jednotlivé snímky pomocí programu vytvořeného v prostředí Matlab. Na snímky jsou aplikovány nástroje obrazové analýzy pro získání profilu vlákna. Profil vlákna je proložen polynomem n-tého řádu. Pomocí předpisu pro výpočet křivosti je pak vypočítána křivost vlákna a kapiláry. V rámci práce bylo vytvořeno grafické uživatelské rozhraní, díky kterému lze nastavovat parametry pro analýzu obrazu a prohlížet dosažené výsledky. V rámci uživatelského rozhraní je implementováno ověření výpočtu křivosti na známých tvarech.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the determination of double the average curvature of the capillary surface and drawn fibers. In the theoretical part there are derived the relations for calculating of curvature of known figures surface and the relation for calculation of curvature of the rotation figure described by the curve. The experimental part deals with acquisition of the fiber profile and the application of mathematical and physical relations. From recorded videos are extracted the every single images by a program created in the Matlab environment. Images are applied to image analysis tools to obtain a fiber profile. The fiber profile is interleaved by the n-th order polynomial. Using the curvature computation rule then there are calculated the curvature of the fiber and the capillary. In the thesis, a graphical user interface has been created, which allows you to set parameters for image analysis and to view the achieved results. Within the user interface, verification of the curvature calculation on known shapes is implemented.
