Od 1. 1. 2014 nabyl účinnost nový občanský zákoník, který představoval zásadní rekodifikaci českého občanského práva. V oblasti nájmu nemovitostí, které neslouží bydlení, došlo ke konceptuální změně pojetí samotného předmětu nájmu. On 1 January 2013, the new Civil Code entered into force, which represented a fundamental recodification of Czech civil law.
