Recovery of autonomy and pain management for a young patient following multiple vertebral fractures at the dorsal-lumbar level: case report

Abstract:

Within this report, a clinical case of a 20-year-old patient following multiple fractures at the back-lumbar level following an accident will be described. The aim of the thesis will be to explain the best type of post-surgical physiotherapy intervention that can be implemented, starting from physiotherapy in bed in which muscle control and core stability have been trained, followed by the resumption of exercises in standing position initially. checking lumbar stability and then training the flexion-extension movements of the trunk. Until the resumption of daily activities and return to physical activity, using physical therapies such as tecar, magnetotherapy and electrotherapy that can be useful to reduce recovery times.

Abstract:

All'interno di questo elaborato sar? descritto un caso clinico di una paziente di 20 anni in seguito a fratture multiple a livello dorso-lombare successivamente ad un incidente. L'obbiettivo della tesi sar? quello di spiegare il miglior tipo di intervento fisioterapico post operazione chirurgica che pu? essere attuato, partendo dalla fisioterapia a letto in cui si ? allenato il controllo muscolare e la core stability, seguita dalla ripresa degli esercizi in stazione eretta inizialmente controllando la stabilit? lombare e successivamente andando ad allenare i movimenti di flesso-estensione del tronco. Fino alla ripresa delle attivit? quotidiane e ritorno all'attivit? fisica, utilizzando terapie fisiche come la tecar, la magnetoterapia e l'elettroterapia che possono essere utili per diminuire i tempi di recupero.
