Are we Afraid of Dying? Management of the Care for Dying People in Selected Residential Houses for the Elderly

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou řízení péče o umírající ve vybraných pobytových sociálních službách pro seniory. Teoretická část mé diplomové práce je rozčleněna do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se zaměřuje na obecné principy managementu jako je řízení, strategie a organizace. Druhá kapitola se týká tématu sociálních služeb, zejména pobytových sociálních služeb pro seniory, potřeb seniorů a sociální práce se seniory. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na péči o umírající, potřeby umírajících, péči o pozůstalé, dále se zaměřuje na proces doprovázení a paliativní péči. Čtvrtá kapitola popisuje sociální služby v příspěvkových organizacích Moravskoslezského kraje. Praktická část diplomové práce se zaměřuje na proces a výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu, jehož cílem je zjištění, jak je praxe v řízení péče o umírající v pobytových sociálních službách pro seniory, které zřizuje Moravskoslezský kraj. Výzkum bude prováděn prostřednictvím anonymizovaného dotazníku a respondenty budou ředitelé organizace, poskytující pobytové sociální služby pro seniory, které jsou zřízeny Moravskoslezským krajem.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the management of the care for dying people in selected residential social services for the elderly. The theoretical part of my diploma thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter focuses on general management principles such as management, strategy, and organization. The second chapter deals with the topic of social services, especially residential social services for seniors, seniors' needs and social work with the elderly. The third chapter deals with the care of the dying, which describes, among other things, the needs of the dying, care for the survivors, accompanying and palliative care. The fourth chapter describes social services in contributory organizations of the Moravian-Silesian Region. The practical part of this diploma thesis is focused on the process and results of quantitative research aimed at finding out how the practice in the management of dying people in residential social services is established by the Moravian-Silesian Region. The survey will be conducted out through an anonymized questionnaire and the respondents were selected from an accommodation facility for seniors set up by the Moravian-Silesian Region.
