Montessori principles in a selected kindergarten

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá uplatňováním principů montessori pedagogiky ve vybrané mateřské škole. Cílem práce bylo zjistit jakým způsobem učitelé zařazují montessori principy do vzdělávací nabídky dětí. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na alternativní vzdělávání, s akcentem na montessori pedagogiku. Popisuje roli učitele a věnuje se dítěti předškolního věku s ohledem na vývojové fáze v kontextu montessori pedagogiky. Empirická část přináší výsledky výzkumného šetření ve vybrané mateřské škole. Data byla sbírána prostřednictvím zúčastněného přímého pozorování, které doplňoval polostrukturovaný rozhovor s učitelkou školy. Pro kompletnost dat byl vytvořen dotazník zaměřující se na principy, který byl rozeslán do montessori mateřských škol. Cílem empirické části bylo rozkrýt práci učitele vybrané mateřské školy a analyzovat uplatňování montessori principů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the validation of the principles of Montessori pedagogy in a selected kindergarten. The reason of the thesis was to find out how teachers incorporate Montessori principles into the education of children. The theoretical part focuses on alternative education, with an emphasis on Montessori pedagogy. It describes the role of the teacher and focuses on the preschool child with regard to developmental stages in the context of Montessori pedagogy. The empirical part shows the results of a research investigation in a selected kindergarten. Data were collected through participant direct observation, which was complemented by a semistructured interview with the teacher. To ensure completeness of the data, a questionnaire focusing on principles was developed and distributed to the Montessori kindergartens. The aim of the empirical part was to reveal the work of the teacher of the selected kindergarten and to analyze the application of Montessori principles.
