Abstract:

Diplomová práce Zlatý střelec se skládá ze dvou částí. Primárním výstupem praktického projektu je DVD s televizním portrétem, které reflektuje a doplňuje druhá část - text. Ústřední postavou dokumentu je v době realizace díla nejlepší střelec světa ve sportovní disciplíně trap – David Kostelecký. Portrétní studie narativní formou v pěti kapitolách poodkrývá sportovní kariéru střelce, která nebyla vždy jen o slávě a vítězství, ale také o letech tvrdých tréninků, odříkání a nepříjemných pádů. Pět podtémat zachycuje prvotní impuls stát se střelcem, složité období, kdy byl protagonista označen trenéry za neperspektivního, vzestupující kariéru, zlomový rok 2004, který v životě Davida Kosteleckého mnohé změnil, a největší úspěch – zisk zlaté medaile na olympijských hrách v roce 2008 v Pekingu. Textová část dokument teoreticky ukotvuje a kriticky ho hodnotí. Skládá se ze šesti kapitol. Úvodní pasáže seznamují s tématem, čtvrtý díl se věnuje teorii dokumentárního filmu, pátý pohledu na sport pomocí mediálně-sociologických myšlenek a poslední část kompaktně referuje o třech etapách výroby televizního portrétu, které následně také posuzuje. Cílem dokumentu je skrze životní příběh Davida Kosteleckého ukázat zájmovému publiku, co všechno musí sportovci obětovat a dokázat, než dosáhnou výsledků. Publikum o sportovcích smýšlí jako o „hrdinech“, vzhlíží k nim a tiše jim závidí, avšak už nevidí, že vrcholový sport je o tvrdých ústupcích.

Abstract:

The thesis The Golden Shooter consists of two parts. The primary input of a practical project is a DVD containing a television documentary. The second - textual - part reflects it and contributes by a theoretical basis. The main character of the television documentary is David Kostelecky, a champion in trap in 2009. In five chapters, a narrative form of the documentary unravels his sporting career that was not always only about fame and victories but about years of harsh training and failure as well. The thesis covers the first stimulus to be a sportman, the complicated part of his life when instructors told him he was not a perspective sportman and then the better part of his career and the year of 2004 that has changed Kostelecky’s life forever and the year of 2008 when David Kostelecky won the gold medal at the Olympics in Peking. The textual part builts a theorethical basis and assesses the document critically. It has six chapters that introduce a theme of the documentary, explain a theory of documentary, analyse sports from a sociological point of view and then the last chapter describes thoroughly three stages of production of the documentary and examines it critically as well. The aim of the documentary is show to audience by means of the lifestory of David Kostelecky how much sportsmen have to sacrifice before getting results. Audience usually think of sportsmen as heroes, looking up to and envying them. What audience does not see is the fact that sports is about tough compromise.
