The use of digital instruments in teaching geography

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi využití elektronických měřicích přístrojů ve výuce zeměpisu. Cílem bylo v teoretické části zařadit toto téma do příslušných kurikulárních dokumentů, dále provést rešerši dostupných přístrojů a jejich výrobců, a také samotných materiálů k provádění experimentů. Byl vytvořen dotazník pro středoškolské pedagogy na využívání přístrojů v jejich výuce, jehož výsledky jsou také zahrnuty v teoretické části. V praktické části jsou potom vytvořeny návrhy pěti experimentů na různé geografické jevy – okyselování oceánů, kyselost půdy, vlastnosti vodních nádrží a dvě varianty měření odrazivosti povrchů. V přílohách se pak vedle samotných metodických a pracovních listů nachází i návod pro práci se softwarem využitým v experimentech.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of using electronic measuring devices in geography education. The aim of the theoretical part was to include this topic in the relevant curriculum documents, as well as to carry out a research of available instruments and their manufacturers and materials for conducting experiments in the classroom. A questionnaire was developed for teachers on their use of the instruments, the results of which are also included in the theoretical part. In the practical part, proposals for five experiments on different geographical phenomena (ocean acidification, soil acidity, water body properties and two variants of surface reflectance measurements) are then created. In the appendices are, in addition to the method and worksheets themselves, also instructions for working with the software used in the experiments.
