The emerging trend towards frugalism that has been ongoing for some time now has led to a shift in attitudes towards money and thus in saving behavior. Since attitudes influence behavior, this study extends the Theory of Planned Behavior to investigate the influence of multidimensional attitudes towards money, taking into account frugalism and various behavioral anomalies, on saving behavior.
