Posssibilities of calibration by solid sampling elektrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry of mercury

Abstract:

Cílem této práce byl výběr vhodné kalibrační techniky pro stanovení rtuti v pevných vzorcích pomocí atomové absorpční spektrometrie s elektrotermickou atomizací a dávkováním pevných vzorků. K modifikaci grafitové lodičky byly aplikovány palladium a rhenium, které byly naneseny na povrch grafitu elektrochemickým pokrýváním v kapce. Ke kalibraci byly použity kapalné standardy, pevné standardy a metoda přídavku standardu. Pro termickou stabilizaci rtuti při použití kalibračních roztoků byly použity manganistan draselný, dichroman draselný, tetramethylendithiokarbamát (TMDTC), diethyldithiokarbamát (DEDTC) a thiomočovina. Jako optimální stabilizující činidlo byl vybrán manganistan draselný v koncentraci 100 g.l-1 a TMDTC o koncentraci 2,5 g.l-1. Použití těchto činidel spolu s Pd nebo Re modifikátorem povrchu grafitové lodičky je navrženo pro stanovení obsahu rtuti v pevných environmentálních vzorcích.

Abstract:

The possibilities of calibration for the determination of mercury in solid samples by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry with the solid sampling system were investigated. The graphite platforms were modified with palladium and rhenium by electrodeposition from a drop of solution. The certified reference materials, standards solutions and standard addition method were used for calibration purposes. Permanganate, dichromate, tetramethylendithiocarbamate (TMDTC), diethyldithiocarbamate (DEDTC) and thiourea were tested for thermal stabilization of mercury by using calibration solutions. The best results were obtained for 100 g.l-1 KMnO4 and 2,5 g.l-1 TMDTC. The use of these reagents on the palladium or rhenium modified platform surface is proposed for the determination of the content of mercury in solid environmental samples.
