Corporate culture of multinational company and its application in local conditions

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Firemní kultura nadnárodní společnosti a její uplatňování v lokálních podmínkách“ je analýza vlivu kulturních odlišností vybrané nadnárodní společnosti na její pobočku v České republice. První část práce vysvětluje pojmy národní a firemní kultura, jejich vznik, strukturu a typologii. Navazujícím tématem v teoretické části je rozbor kulturních odlišností a jejich vlivu na podnik. Následuje rozbor kulturních standardů vybraných zemí včetně jejich komparace. V praktické části je představen konkrétní podnik. Pomocí empirických metod jsou zkoumány přínosy a nedostatky implementace firemní kultury zahraniční mateřské společnosti do českého prostředí. V závěru praktické části jsou stanovena kritéria úspěšnosti pro spolupráci s vybranými podniky v českém prostředí.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “Corporate culture of multinational company and its application in local conditions” is to analyze the influence of cross-cultural differences of multinational company on its Czech branch. The first part of the thesis explains the concept of national and corporate culture, their creation, structure and typology. The consequential theme of the theoretical section is the analysis of cross-cultural differences and their influence on the company. After that follows the analysis of cultural standards including its comparison. The particular company is introduced in the practical section. Through the use of empirical methods, the contributions and deficiencies of mother corporate culture implementation to the Czech environment are recognized. At the end of practical section, the criteria of successful cooperation with the particular companies in the Czech environment are set.
