Video "PROGRAM" in the context of Czech political art

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci vycházím z vlastní umělecké tvorby. Zabývám se charakteristikou konceptu politického umění skupiny CZAKRA a vlastní tvorby na pozadí vývoje českého výtvarného umění od 70. let 20. století. V teoretické části popisuji politicky a sociálně angažovanou tvorbu českých a zahraničních tvůrců od 70. let 20. století. Definuji zde hranici mezi aktivismem a angažovaným uměním. Do charakteristiky angažovaného umění zahrnuji pojmy, které jsou nedílnou součástí celku angažovaného umění (aktivismus, politické umění, sociální umění, kritické umění, site specific art, public art). V praktické části popisuji výtvarně angažované aktivity skupiny CZAKRA, jejímž jsem členem a tvorbu osobní. Projekty popisované v praktické části jsou: instalace "PERFERO - SINO", happening "Autorské čtení" a video "PROGRAM". Tyto umělecké projekty vysvětluji na základě jejich souvislosti s tvorbou českých a zahraničních autorů. V pedagogické části popisuji výtvarné zadání, jehož cílem je rozvinou jak sociální uvažování, tak kritické myšlení v tvorbě studentů středních uměleckých škol. Výtvarné zadání se snaží aplikovat principy uvažování a tvorby angažovaného umění na běžnou výuku výtvarné výchovy na středních uměleckých školách. Výtvarné zadání nese název ?Kožich? a spadá do spektra sociálně angažovaného umění. Ve výtvarném zadání využívám motivačních principů reflexe (reflexní dialog dle J. Slavíka) a interpretačních skoků dle Dytrtové, které napomáhají k lepšímu pochopení a ukotvení probírané látky. Tyto metody volím z důvodu jejich pozitivní zpětné vazby u studentů a žáků výtvarných oborů.

Abstract:

My diploma thesis is patterned on my own artistic creation. I am concerned with characteristics of concept of political art presented by the group CZAKRA and my own artistic creation that took place during the time of the development of Czech fine arts in the 70?s of the 20th century. In the theoretical part, I am describing politically and socially orientated creation of Czech and foreign authors in the 70?s of the 20th century. I define the border between activism and engagement art. In the characteristic of engagement art is included the concepts which is inseparable part of the whole engagement art (activism, political art, social art, critical art, site specific art, public art). I include into the characteristic of engagement art concepts that are inseparable part of the whole engagement art (activism, political art, social art, critical art, site specific art, public art). In the practical part I describe the artistic engagement activities of the CZAKRA group of which I am member of and also I describe my own artistic creation. Projects described in the practical part are following: installation of "PERFERO - SINO", happening "Authorial Reading" a video "PROGRAM". I explain these artistic projects on the basis of their connection with creation of Czech and foreign authors. In the educational part I describe fine art assignment, of which the goal is to evolve both social way of thinking and critical way of thinking of students of Fine Art Academies. Fine art assignment seeks to apply principles of thinking/reasoning and creation of engagement art into regular teaching class of fine arts at the secondary art schools. The fine art assignment is called ?Kožich? (?Fur?) and it belongs to the group of socially engaged art. I use in the fine art assignment motivational principles of reflection (reflective dialogue by J. Slavik) and interpretative jumps by Dytrtová, which helps better understanding and grounding of discussed topic. I am decided to choose these methods because of positive feedback These methods have been chosen by me on the basis of positive feedback from students of fine art programs.
