Surrealism in the Contemporary Czech Poetry

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na brněnský autorský okruh A.I.V. a jeho specifické pojetí surrealistické tvorby v kontextu českého surrealismu. Text práce je rozdělen do dvou oddílů. V první části je nastíněn vývoj české surrealistické poezie od jejího počátku a také vývoj literárněteoretických názorů hlavních osobností českého surrealismu. Druhá část je věnována okruhu A.I.V., vymezuje osobité rysy tvorby této skupiny, a analyzuje jak kolektivní, tak i individuální tvorbu jeho členů.

Abstract:

The body of the thesis is focused on Brno’s literary group A.I.V. and its specific conception of surrealism in the Czech surrealistic context. The paper is subdivided into two separate sections. In the first section, the process of developing of the Czech surrealistic poetry since its very beginning is described. Also, the course of literarily-theoretical thinking of the main exponents of the Czech surrealism is charted. The second part of the thesis is devoted particularly to Brno’s surrealistic group A.I.V. Some specific attributes of the creative work of the mentioned group are defined and both, an individual and collective works of the group’s members, are analyzed.
