The rehabilitation process of a sports patient following a lumbar vertebral fracture with paraparesis of the lower limbs: clinical case

Abstract:

In the following thesis the vertebral fracture will be treated as a topic with consequent spinal cord shock and outcomes of an incomplete paraplegia. A general discourse on the anatomy of the spine will initially be developed, going to analyze it in all its components, namely the bone, joint, ligament and muscular structures.Moving on to analyze more specifically the vertebral fractures, their possible causes and preventions, the types of fractures and their possible recoveries that occur first through surgery and secondly, after the acute phase, we move on to physiotherapy rehabilitation.

Abstract:

Nella seguente tesi verr? trattatocome argomento la frattura vertebrale con conseguente shock midollare e esiti di una paraplegia incompleta. Verr? inizialmente sviluppato un discorsogenerale sull'anatomia della colonna vertebrale, andandola ad analizzare in tutte le sue componenti, ovvero le strutture ossee, articolari, legamentose e muscolari. Passando poi ad analizzare pi? nello specifico le fratture vertebrali, le loro possibili cause e prevenzioni, i tipi di fratture e i loro possibili recuperi che avvengono in primis attraverso la chirurgia e in secondo luogo, passata la fase acuta, si passa alla riabilitazione fisioterapica.
