Financial benchmarking

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na finanční benchmarking akciové společnosti Strabag v letech 2015 až 2019. Cílem je zhodnocení finanční situace společnosti, identifikování předností a nedostatků a porovnání výkonnosti s přímým konkurentem a s odvětvím. Práce je přínosem pro externí uživatele v otázce zájmu a zvážení případné investice. Teoretická část je zaměřena na podstatu finanční analýzy a metodu INFA včetně všech ukazatelů, vazeb mezi nimi a vlivu na výsledné hodnoty EVA, zvláště na ROE a re. Praktická část představuje přímého konkurenta Metrostav a.s. a odvětví dle CZ-NACE F – stavebnictví, se kterými je společnost Strabag porovnána dle poznatků zjištěných v teoretické části. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty dosažené výsledky, identifikovány přednosti a nedostatky a určeny příčiny těchto skutečností. Na základě zjištěných informací je vyhodnocena finanční situace společnosti a její výsledný přínos pro externího uživatele v otázce zvážení případné investice.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the financial benchmarking of the joint-stock company Strabag in the years 2015 to 2019. The aim is to evaluate the financial situation of the company, identify strengths and weaknesses and compare performance with a direct competitor and the industry. Theses is beneficial for the external user in terms of interest and consideration of investment. The theoretical part focuses on the essence of financial analysis and INFA method, including all indicators, links between them and the impact on the resulting values of EVA, especially on ROE and re. The practical part represents a direct competitor, the joint-stock company Metrostav and the industry according to CZ-NACE F - construction, which the company Strabag is compared with according to the findings in the theoretical part. The conclusion summarizes the achieved results, identifies strengths and weaknesses, and determine the causes of these facts. Based on the information obtained, the financial situation of the company and its resulting benefit for the external user is evaluated when it comes to considering an investment.
