Study of essential oils influence on selected properties of lignocellulosic materials

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo stanovení hypermolekulárních, mechanických a optických vlastností lignocelulózových materiálů před a po jejich vystavení účinku par esenciálních olejů. K měření byly použity vzorky bělené sulfitové buničiny a dřevoviny. Byla sledována kinetika navlhání a kinetika absorpce organických par. Zaznamenáváním přírůstků hmotnosti vzorků v závislosti na době absorpce par vybraných kapalin spolu s vyhodnocením těchto naměřených hodnot a následnými výpočty byly získány strukturní a povrchové parametry těchto materiálů jako je pórovitost, velikost středních pórů, kompaktnost, adhezní napětí a povrchové napětí. Z mechanických vlastností se u vzorků vyhodnotila jejich tuhost při vystavení v různých prostředích. Z optických vlastností se změřily hodnoty ISO bělosti, hodnoty Lab a žlutost.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to determine hypermolecular, mechanical and optical properties of lignocellulosic materials before and after exposure to vapors of essential oils. The measurements were used for samples bleached sulphite pulp and wood. It was observed wetting kinetics and absorption kinetics of organic vapors. Noting the weight of the samples increases, according to the absorption of selected vapors liquids together with the evaluation of these measurements and subsequent calculations were obtained structural and surface characteristics of these materials, such as porosity, pore size medium, compactness, adhesion tension and surface tension. The mechanical properties of the samples to assess the stiffness of the exposure in different environments. The optical properties are used to measure ISO Whiteness, Yellowness and Lab values.
