Evaluation of CSR activities of chosen companies

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je společenská odpovědnost firem (CSR). Cílem práce je zhodnocení CSR aktivit u dvou vybraných firem. V teoretické části je za pomoci odborné literatury objasněn samotný koncept společenské odpovědnosti firem, historický vývoj pojmu a moderní definice. Následně jsou popsány jednotlivé pilíře CSR, standardy a metody, jak se společenská odpovědnost měří. Praktická část je rozdělena na pět hlavních kapitol. V úvodu je metodologie výzkumu, dále jsou vyhodnoceny CSR aktivity u společnosti ŠKODA AUTO, a.s. a provedena sonda u zaměstnanců této firmy. Ve třetí části praktické statě jsou vyhodnoceny CSR aktivity u společnosti Toyota Peugeot Citroen Automobile Czech s.r.o., dále je provedeno celkové vyhodnocení jednotlivých pilířů CSR u obou vybraných společností a dotazníku pro zaměstnance ŠKODA AUTO,a.s. a v závěru praktické části kapitola věnovaná doporučením ze strany autora. Závěr práce je věnován celkovému shrnutí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with a corporate social responsibility. The aim of the thesis is evaluation of CSR activities of two chosen companies. Theoretical part begins with the subject of corporate social responsibility, historical evolution of the term and modern definitions. Following that there is a description of the main three pillars of CSR, standards and methods, how is the CSR evaluated. Practical part is divided into 5 main chapters. The first one is a methodology of exploration, then evaluation of CSR activities of company ŠKODA AUTO, a.s. incl. questionnaire for employees. Evaluation of CSR activities of company Toyota Peugeot Citroen Automobile Czech s.r.o. is in the third chapter of the practical part. Following that there is a final evaluation of CSR activities for both companies for the three main pillars of CSR, evaluation of the questionnaire and recommendations from the author. Summary of the thesis is in conclusion of this work.
