Comparison of the effectiveness of vibratory stimulation and proprioceptive stimulation for the reduction of recovery times in patients with knee arthroplasty: clinical case

Abstract:

Vibratory stimulation and proprioceptive stimulation in postoperative recovery of patients with knee implants were compared. More specifically, a 65-year-old patient was followed (Patient 1), operated in 2018 (single compartment prosthesis). The diagnostic procedure was therefore described, as well as an anamnestic and rehabilitative one with respect to a second patient of 70 years (Patient 2) with two compartment prosthesis. This allowed to compare, respectively, the passive electrical stimulation technique of the limb and the proprioceptive rehabilitation technique. Both have shown enormous value and validity in the various rehabilitation phases. Both patients in the third phase, i.e. remodeling, acquired full autonomy, while still moving with the aid of a crutch. The reference literature supported our hypotheses

Abstract:

Sono stati messi a confronto della stimolazione vibratoria e la stimolazione propriocettiva nel recupero postoperatorio di pazienti con protesi del ginocchio. Pi? nello specifico, si ? seguito un paziente di 65 anni (Paziente 1), operato nel 2018 (protesi monocompartimentale). Si ? dunque descritto il suo l'iter diagnostico, nonché anamnestico e riabilitativo rispetto a un secondo paziente di 70 anni (Paziente 2) con protesi bicompartimentale. Questo ha permesso di confrontare, rispettivamente, la tecnica di stimolazione elettrica passiva dell'arto e la tecnica di riabilitazione propriocettiva. Entrambe si sono mostrate di enorme valore e validit? nelle diverse fasi di riabilitazione. Entrambi i pazienti nella terza fase, ovvero di rimodellamento, hanno acquisito piena autonomia, pur muovendosi ancora con l'ausilio di una stampella. La letteratura di riferimento ha supportato le nostre ipotesi.
