Overview of select strategies used on the field of private equity

Abstract:

Tato práce slouží jako zdroj informací o problematice Private Equity. Zabývá se historickým kontextem celé oblasti a dále vybranými strategiemi, mezi které patří primárně rizikový kapitál, růstový kapitál, leveraged buyout, mezaninový kapitál nebo vulture kapitál.V praktické části je vytvořena prognóza dalšího vývoje trhu private equity a jednotlivé strategie jsou dále rozebrány na základě této prognózy. Je rovněž vybrána nejvýhodnější strategie a to jak z hlediska ziskovosti, tak z hlediska zachování rozumné míry rizika.

Abstract:

This work serves as a source of information regarding the topic of Private Equity. It describes historical context of the whole topic and also a number of select strategies, mainly venture capital, growth capital, leveraged buyout, mezzanine capital and vulture capital.In the practical part there is a prediction of the future development in the market of private equity and aforementioned strategies are analyzed based on this prediction. The most suitable strategy for maximizing profits while keeping a reasonable level of risk is also chosen.
