Supervision of Insurance in the European Union countries and in selected counries of the world

Abstract:

Regulace a dohled v pojišťovnictví jsou v souvislosti s poslední finanční krizí velmi diskutovaným tématem. Význam práce spočívá v posouzení vlivu a dopadů aktuální i plánované podoby regulace a dohledu na existenci a činnost životní pojišťovny. Rozvoj finančních trhů včetně segmentu pojišťovnictví a propojování různých doposud na sobě nezávislých finančních produktů vyžaduje regulaci, jejímž cílem je zajištění stability finančního sektoru a ochrana oprávněných zájmů investorů – klientů. Podmínkou pro účinnou regulaci je ponechání prostoru pro růst subjektů poskytujících finanční služby, v našem případě pojišťoven. Hlavním výstupem práce je identifikování hrozeb a příležitostí pro životní pojišťovnu. Dále jsou uvedeny dopady případných realizací hrozeb. Jsou navrženy konkrétní kroky pro management životní pojišťovny a úpravy regulatorních předpisů k zajištění stabilního vývoje a dalšího růstu.

Abstract:

Regulation and Supervision of Insurance in connection with the recent financial crisis is very hot topic. The importance of the work is to assess the influence and impact of current and planned forms of regulation and supervision of the existence and activity of life insurance. The development of financial markets, including insurance segment and connect diverse yet independent financial products requires adjustment, aimed at ensuring the stability of the financial sector and protect the legitimate interests of investors - clients. A condition for effective regulation leaves room for the growth of entities providing financial services, insurance companies, in our case. The main outcome of this work is identifying the threats and opportunities for life insurance. The following are the impacts of potential threats to the implementation. They proposed concrete steps for the management of life insurance and adjustment of regulatory rules to ensure stable development and further growth.
