Profession curator for children and youth

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá profesí kurátora pro děti a mládež. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, jak kurátoři pro děti a mládež vnímají nároky své profese. Nároky profese jsou zkoumány ve vztahu k metodám, povinnostem, systému a sebepojetí / sebereflexi. Pojednává o oblastech dalšího vzdělávání, vztahů s klienty, spolupráci s příslušnými institucemi, a hodnocením vlastní práce. V teoretické části se zabývám charakteristikou oblastí důležitých pro část empirickou. Zkoumám zde orgán sociálněprávní ochrany dětí, kterého je kurátor pro děti a mládež součástí. V práci je rozebrána i role samotného kurátora pro děti a mládež, kde se věnuji popisem jeho činnosti, jaké má povinnosti a principy. Těžištěm diplomové práce je empirická část. Ke zpracování jsem použila kvalitativní výzkumné šetření, kde jsem využila hloubkový polostrukturovaný rozhovor, který je veden s kurátory pro děti a mládež. V empirické části jsou dále popsány interpretované výsledky výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the curator profession for children and youth. The goal of this diploma thesis is to find out how the curators for children and youth are perceiving the requirements needed to perform their profession. The requirements are examined in relation to methods, duties, system and self-percieving/self-reflection. It discusses the scopes of further education, relations with clients, cooperation with institutions and valuation of the work itself. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of fields important for the empirical part. There is examined the authority of the social and legal security of children. The curator is part of this authority. This thesis is also describing the role of the profession of the curator for children and youth, his activities, responsibilities, and principles. The centroid of this diploma thesis is the empirical part. The qualitative research was made via an in-depth interview. The interviews were taken with curators for children and youth. In the empirical part are further described the results of the investigative examination.
