Abstract:

Anotace Novák,Jiří: Pardubický Sokol v letech 1863-1952 Ústí nad Labem:Filozofická fakulta, Univerzita J.E.Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem, 2018, s. 173. Diplomová práce Cílem této diplomové práce je sledovat činnost Tělocvičné jednoty Sokol Pardubice I, od počátku jednoty až do roku 1952. Sledovány budou počátky, ideologie, rozkvět a útlum Sokola. V prvním období léta 1863-1869 je rozvedena charakteristika organizace Sokol. Zmíněni jsou první členové, kteří se zasloužili o vznik pardubické jednoty. Uvedeny jsou i problémy pardubické jednoty s rakouskými úřady. Nejvíce pozornosti je věnováno starostovi Václavu Bubeníkovi. Opomenuty nejsou ani první cvičení konaná v Olšinkách a počátky hasičství v sokolské jednotě. Sedmdesátá léta jsou obdobím stagnace sokolské organizace, kdy mnoho Sokolů z pardubické jednoty vystoupilo. V tomto období lidé raději zakládali hasičské organizace, než se věnovali cvičení v Sokole. Útlum činnosti Sokola, na který měla velký vliv hospodářská krize po krachu na vídeňské burze v květnu 1873,je v této práci podrobně rozveden. V posledních dvou dekádách 19. století je opět pardubický Sokol na vzestupu. Je to období, kdy Sokolové navazovali styky se zahraničními sportovci, rozšiřovali svou působnost a podporovaly svou účastí a finančními sbírkami nejrůznější národní slavnosti. V tomto období je zahájena sokolská župní činnost, která není rovněž v práci opomenuta. Vedle cvičení byla na vzestupu i vzdělávací činnost pardubického Sokola. Na počátku 20. století je sledována podpora menšinových jednot, hospodářské poměry pardubické jednoty a vzájemné vztahy s dalšími tělovýchovnými organizacemi. V této práci jsou uvedeny i počátky cvičení žen v sokolské organizaci. V diplomové práci je zmíněno i to, jak se promítla první světová válka do pardubické sokolské jednoty. Vedle sokolských cvičení není opomenuta ani snaha bránit svoji vlast se zbraní v ruce ať při vzniku Československého státu,nebo při odboji za druhé světové války. V období první republiky je zdůrazněna sportovní, osvětová a vzdělávací činnost pardubického Sokola. Uvedena je i struktura Sokola, finanční a hospodářské zázemí. Vedle důležitých osobností jsou zde představeni i významnější sportovci. Poslední období se zabývá postupnou likvidací sokolské organizace po únoru 1948.

Annotation Novák, Jiří: Sokol Pardubice in 1863-1952 Ústí nad Labem: Faculty of Philosophy, University of J.E. Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem, 2018, p.173. Thesis. The aim of this thesis is to observe the activities of Sokol Pardubice I from the beginning of union until 1952. The Sokol beginning,ideology, the flowering and decline will be observed. In the first period of 1863 - 1869 the characteristics of the Sokol organization is explained. The first members who contributed to creation of Pardubice union are mentioned. Problems of Pardubice union with Austrian authorities also stated. Most attention is paid to Mayor Václav Bubeník.The first exercising in Olšinky and the beginning of firefighting in Sokol union are also remebered. The 1970s are a period of stagnation of Sokol organization when many Sokol members left Pardubice union. At this time, people would rather set up firefighter organization than exercise in Sokol. Decline in Sokol activities, which was affected by the economic crisis after the collapse of the Vienna Stock Exchange in May 1873, is described in this work in detail. In the last two decades of 19th century Sokol Pardubice is again on the rise. It is a period when Sokol members established contacts with foreign athletes, expanded their scope of activities and supported various national festivals with their participation and financial collections. During this period, Sokols regional activity is started, which is also not omitted in the work. In addition to the training, the educational activity of Sokol Pardubice was also on the rise. At the beginning of 20th century the support of minority unions, economic situation of Pardubice union and mutual relations with other sporting organizations were monitored. In this work, the beginnings of womens exercising in Sokol organization are also mentioned. In the diploma thesis it is mentioned how World War I affected Sokol union in Pardubice. Apart from exercising, Sokol strived to defend their country with a weapon in their hands either at constitution of the Czechoslovak state or during the resistance in World War II. In the period of the First Republic, the sporting, public educational activity of Sokol Pardubice is described as well as structure of Sokol and financial and economic background. Besides prominent personalities of Sokol Pardubice, also more important athletes are mentioned during this period. The last period deals with the gradual dissolution of Sokol organization after February 1948.
