Consumer Behavior of University Students in Tourism

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá spotřebitelským chováním studentů vysokých škol při účasti na cestovním ruchu a na popis této skupiny jako takové s účelem zjištění jejich potřeb a očekávání při výběru služeb či produktů nabízených v cestovním ruchu. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny pojmy týkající se cestovního ruchu, je zde definován cestovní ruch a jeho složky, jako typologie cestovního ruchu, účastník cestovního ruchu, motivace, preference a trendy v cestovním ruchu a podrobněji jsou zde popsána specifika mládežnického cestovního ruchu a vysokoškolští studenti jako cílový segment. Dále je zde definováno spotřebitelské chování, jeho modely, faktory, které ho ovlivňují a spotřebitelské chování v cestovním ruchu. Poslední částí teoretické části je definování výsledků dvou již proběhlých výzkumů, zabývajících se touto problematikou. Jeden z nich je posléze v praktické části této práce porovnáván s výsledky vlastního výzkumu této práce. V analytické části jsou popsány cíle, metodika a stanovené předpoklady výzkumu. Dále jsou zde zpracovávány samotné výsledky výzkumu a následně učiněny závěry, které z nich vyplývají. Na základě těchto výsledků jsou pak sepsána doporučení pro subjekty cestovního ruchu, aby byli schopni cílit svou nabídku na tento segment.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic consumer behaviour of university students when participating in tourism. Describes this group as a whole in order to identify their needs and expectations while consuming services and products of tourism. The theoretical part describes the concepts relating to tourism, defines tourism and its components. It explains tourism typology, participation, motivation, preferences and trends in tourism, and describes in more detail the specifications of youth tourism and university students as the target segment. It also defines consumer behaviour, its models, factors influencing it and consumer behaviour in tourism. The last part of the theoretical part is the definition of the results of two studies already carried out, dealing with this issue. The analytical part describes the objectives, methodology and the set assumptions of the research. Furthermore, the research results are processed, and conclusions therefrom are drawn. On the basis of the results, recommendations for the tourism stakeholders are drawn up in order to concentrate and target their supply to this segment.
