Fundraising of NPO

Abstract:

Teoretická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na neziskový sektor v České republice, konkrétně na právní formu spolku a občanského sdružení. Popisuje jejich strukturu a vlastnosti. Podrobněji je poté rozebráno financování nestátních neziskových organizací, jaké zdroje mohou neziskové organizace využívat a co tyto zdroje obnáší. Práce též popisuje základní informace o fundraisingu, jeho základní principy a metody. Dále rozebírá vlastnosti fundraisera a strategii fundraisingu. V praktické části práce je představena vybraná neziskové organizace EpiStop, z. s., její cíle, poslání a činnosti. Poté je popsán fundraising tohoto spolku, zdroje příjmů a přehled výdajů. Dále je vytvořen finanční plán na následující rok a jsou analyzovány a zhodnoceny metody fundraisingu, které daná nezisková organizace využívá. Na závěr jsou na základě získaných informací navržena doporučení dané organizaci, které je možné využít pro její financování.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of my bachelor thesis is focused on the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic, namely on the legal form of society and civic association. It describes their structure and properties. Afterwards, it provides more detailed financial analysis of NPO, it defines which funds can NPO´s use and what these funds consist of. The thesis also describes the basic information about fundraising, its basic principles and methods. Also, It describes certain attributes of a fundraiser and strategy of fundraising itself. In the practical part of the thesis the chosen NPO called EpiStop z. s. is introduced along with its goals, mission and activities. Afterwards, fundraising of this society is described, along with its sources of income and overview of costs. Furthermore, a financial plan is created for the following year and methods of fundraising, which this NPO is using, are analyzed and evaluated. Finally, based on gained information, recommendations to this organization, which can be used for its financing, are designed.
