Monitoring of physical activity of pupils at lower secondary school in Ústí nad Labem during adverse weather conditions

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na charakterizování pohybové aktivity vybrané skupiny žáků 2. stupně na základní škole v Ústí nad Labem v klimaticky nepříznivých podmínkách. Cílem práce je stanovit a vyhodnotit základní charakteristiky uplatněných pohybových aktivit u tohoto souboru v pracovních a víkendových dnech během nepříznivého klimatického období a porovnat získané ukazatele s daty získanými v období klimaticky příznivém. Data byla získána celotýdenní aplikací pedometrů. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a výzkumnou. V první části jsou kapitoly zaměřeny na vymezení základních pojmů vztahujících se k dané problematice, v empirické části je charakterizován zkoumaný soubor, popsána využitá metodika i samotná realizace výzkumného šetření. V dalších kapitolách jsou předloženy výsledky získané pomocí pedometrů a dotazníkového šetření, příslušné hodnoty objemu pohybových aktivit analyzovány a komparovány s předchozím šetřením. Výsledky jsou prezentovány formou grafů a tabulek. Na základě závěrů byla přijata některá doporučení pro zvýšení pohybové aktivity mládeže a dosažení a udržení dobrého zdraví.

Abstract:

The Diploma Thesis is focused on characterizing physical activities of a selected group of pupils of Lower Secondary School in Ústí nad Labem in adverse weather conditions. The aim of the thesis is to assess and evaluate basic features of physical activities of pupils during week days and weekends in adverse weather conditions and compare the data with the results received during ambient weather conditions. Pedometers were used during the one-week monitoring. The work is divided into two parts - theory and research. The theoretical chapters focus on definition of basic terms relating to the theme of the thesis. The introductory chapter of the empirical part characterizes the examined group and describes the used methodology and the research itself. The following chapters deal with pedometer and questionnaire results and the amount of physical activities which is analysed and compared to the previous research. The results are presented in tables and charts. Some of the recommendations were accepted for increasing the amount of physical activity o pupils and for reaching and maintaining good health.
