Use of radial shock wave in physiotherapy

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je porovnat účinnost různých intenzit radiální rázové vlny. Praktická část byla směřována na aplikaci rázové vlny pro ošetření extensorové skupiny dominantní horní končetiny. Charakteristika skupiny probandů proběhla na základě vyplnění online dotazníku před začátkem samotného ošetření. Sběr zbylých dat a informací, potřebných ke zpracování bakalářské práce, byl proveden tlakovým algometrem. Měření probíhalo vždy před a po aplikaci rázové vlny. Hodnoty byly vpisovány do tabulek. Na závěr proběhlo zaznamenání odpovědí v krátkém výstupním dotazníku ihned po terapii. Měření všech probandů proběhlo během tří dnů v podzimních měsících říjen a listopad minulého roku v prostorách TUTA fyzioterapie s.r.o. Vyhodnocení je uvedeno v praktické části, kde jsou výsledky zpracovány v tabulkách a grafech. V teoretické části práce obsahuje informace obecně o rázové vlně i data specifické pro radiální rázovou vlnu. Dále jsou zde poznatky o svalech, reflexních změnách vyskytujících se ve svalech a algometrii. Výsledky měření nepotrvdily ani jednu předpokládanou hypotézu, nicméně v některých případech se jí alespoň přiblížily. Všechny výsledky jsou blíže představeny v praktické části bakalářské práce.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare the effectiveness of different radial shock wave intensities. The practical part was focused on the application of shock wave for the treatment of the extensor group of the dominant upper limb. The characterization of the proband group was based on the completion of an online questionnaire before the actual treatment. The collection of the remaining data and information required for the preparation of the bachelor thesis was performed with a pressure algometer. The measurements were always taken before and after the shock wave application and the values were entered into tables. Finally, the answers were recorded in a short exit questionnaire immediately after the therapy. Measurements of all probands were taken over three days in the autumn months of October and November last year at TUTA physiotherapy s.r.o. The evaluation is presented in the practical section where the results are presented in tables and graphs. The theoretical part of the thesis contains information about shock wave in general and data specific to radial shock wave. In addition, there is knowledge about muscles, reflex changes occurring in muscles and algometry. The measurement results did not confirm any of the hypotheses, but in some cases they came close. All results are presented in more detail in the practical part of the bachelor thesis.
