Possibilities of alternative and augmentative communication in intensive care and resuscitation

Abstract:

Tématem práce je možnost využití systémů alternativní a augmetativní komunikace u pacientů se získáným narušením komunikační schopnosti na jednotkách intenzivní a resuscitační péče. Práce je rozčleněna na teoretickou a výzkumnou část. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny nejdůležitější fakta týkající se získaného narušení komunikační schopnosti, etiologie narušené komunikační schopnosti a systémů alternativní augmentativní komunikace. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky 3 fází výzkumu, které představovaly kvantitativní šetření mezi zdravotními sestrami a lékaři, analýzu rozhovorů s pacienty, kteří neměli po určitou dobu možnost adekvátní verbální komunikace. Poslední fáze výzkumu byla věnována pomůcce, která byla vyrobena na podkladě šetření mezi zdravotníky a pacienty s komunikačním deficitem a použita v nemocniční praxi ke zlepšení komunikace mezi zdravotními sestrami a pacientem s komunikačním deficitem.

Abstract:

cTopic of this thesis is the possibility of using alternative and augmentative communication systems for patients with acquired communication disorder in unit of intensive care and resuscitation. The thesis is divided into theoretical and research part. In the theoretical part defines the most important facts about acquired communication disorder, the etiology of communication disorders and augmentative and alternative communication systems. The practical part contains the results of the three phases of research, which represented a quantitative investigation among nurses and doctors, an analysis of interviews with patients, who had for some time the possibility of adequate verbal communication. The last phase of the research has been devoted to the utility, which was made ​​on the basis of research among healthcare professionals and patients with communication deficits and used in hospital practice to improve communication between nurses and patients with communication deficits.
