The thesis aims to outline problem of comics‘ adaptations of classic works, which follow attempts to explain original work to a wider audience. Práce si klade za cíl nastínit problém komixových adaptací klasických děl, které se takto snaží přiblížit výchozí díla širšímu publiku. Pro ilustraci hlavní otázky byl zvolen korpus tří divadelních her: Molierův Tartuffe a Lakomec a Král Ubu Alfreda Jarryho.
