Usage of soft techniques in spa treatment of vertebrogenic diseases

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje sledování a hodnocení účinků měkkých technik při jejich využití v lázeňské léčbě u pacientů trpících vertebrogenními onemocněními. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje výčet některých vertebrogenních onemocnění a jejich stručný popis s možnou příčinou vzniku. Dále jsou v této části vypsány měkké tkáně a jejich patologické změny, jak se tyto patologie projevují a co způsobují. V neposlední řadě teoretická část obsahuje i metody léčby měkkých tkání, které byly u pacientů aplikovány. Praktická část obsahuje 3 kazuistiky, které sledují vyšetření a změny měkkých tkání po sérii 7 terapií, jež proběhly během 3týdenního pobytu pacientů v Léčebných lázních Konstantinovy Lázně. V kapitole metodika práce je popsáno veškeré vyšetření, které bylo u pacientů provedeno a uplatněné terapie - klasické manuální terapie. Výsledky výzkumné části práce jsou shrnuty a zpracovány do tabulek a grafů, ze kterých vyplývá, že ošetření měkkými technikami zmírňuje bolest a navozuje uvolnění, které však nepřetrvává po delší dobu. Využití měkkých technik v lázeňské léčbě u pacientů s vertebrogenními onemocněními má své opodstatnění. I přes to, že se nedá dokázat, zda k odstranění patologických změn měkkých tkání a obnovení jejich fyziologické funkce dochází pouze v důsledku využití měkkých technik, komplexní lázeňská léčba má na celkovou rekonvalescenci pozitivní vliv.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with monitoring and evaluating the effects of soft techniques in their use in the spa treatment of patients with vertebrogenic diseases. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part contains a list of some vertebrogenic diseases and their brief description with a possible cause of occurrence. Then, soft tissues and their pathological changes are listed in this section, how these pathologies manifest themselves and what they cause. Last but not least, the theoretical part also contains methods of treatment of soft tissues that have been applied to patients. The practical part contains 3 case studies that follow the examination and changes of soft tissues after a series of 7 therapies that took place during the 3-week stay of patients in the Konstantinovy Lázně medical spa. The chapter Methodology of the thesis describes all the examinations that were performed in patients and the applied therapies - classic manual therapy. The results of the research part of the thesis are summarized and processed into tables and graphs, from which it follows that the treatment with soft techniques relieves pain and induces relaxation, which, however, does not persist for a long time. The use of soft techniques in spa treatment in patients with vertebrogenic diseases has its justification. Despite the fact that it is not possible to prove whether the removal of pathological changes in soft tissues and the restoration of their physiological function occurs only as a result of the use of soft techniques, complex spa treatment has a positive effect on the overall recovery.
