Specifics of self-defense persons with intelectual disabilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou zkušeností žáků s mentálním postižením s rizikovým či násilným chováním. Zkoumá zkušenosti těchto žáků ve vztahu k sebeobraně, schopnost se v životu nebezpečných situacích účelně bránit, motivační faktory zájmu o výuku sebeobrany takto postižených jedinců a také možnosti výuky sebeobrany vzhledem k omezeným motorickým schopnostem mentálně postižených. Teoretická část je rozdělena do dvou kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá mentálním postižením obecně a nechybí ani vymezení možných příčin vzniku. Součástí je i klasifikace mentálního postižení a specifika osobnosti takto postižených jedinců. Druhá kapitola definuje sebeobranu jako takovou, její historii a nechybí ani legislativní vymezení sebeobrany. Tato kapitola se věnuje také výuce sebeobrany a specifikům, na které je při výuce sebeobrany mentálně postižených nutné brát zřetel. Praktická část je tvořena výzkumným šetřením, které analyzuje názory jedinců s mentálním postižením na sebeobranu. Součástí této kapitoly jsou také tři případové studie. Ke sběru potřebných dat byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkum spolu s využitím kvantitativního výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis analyzes the experience of mentally disabled students with risky or violent behavior. It examines the experience of these students in relation to self-defense capability, effective defence in life-threatening situations, motivating factors of interest in learning self-defense practices. It concerns also the possibilities of learning self-defence even with limited motor abilities of the mentally disabled people. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with mental disabilities in general, it shows the definitions of the possible causes. It also includes the classification of mental disability and personal specifications of mentally disabled individuals. The second chapter defines self-defense in general, its history and legal definition of self-defense. This chapter also focuses on teaching self-defense practices and it describes some specificities which must be while teaching the self-defense practices taken into account in term of mentally disabled people. The practical part consists of a research analyzes, which shows the opinions of individuals with mental disabilities to self-defense. Other part of this chapter is build by three case studies. The qualitative research combined with some techniques of quantitative research was used to collect the necessary data.
