This bachelor thesis deals with the function of the body and religious elements in the novel Santa Evita by the Argentine author Tomás Eloy Martínez. The aim of this work is to explore these functions through analysis, which is based on extracts from the novel and shows selected phenomena such as the sacrament, similarity to Christ, fetishism and mythology. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá funkcí těla a náboženských prvků v románu Santa Evita od argentinského autora Tomáse Eloye Martíneze. Cílem práce je prozkoumat tyto funkce pomocí analýzy, která se opírá o úryvky z románu a ukazuje na nich vybrané jevy jako svátost, podobnost s Kristem, fetišismus a mytizování.
