Evaluation of Business Environment for Bistro Operations in the Slovak Republic

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis was to evaluate the business environment in the Slovak Republic for the operation of the bistro during the coronavirus pandemic in 2021. For this diploma topic I chose a specific company that provides catering services since 2019 and is located on St. Nicholas Square in Stará Ľubovňa. The theoretical part is devoted to business and its purpose, forms of business in Slovakia, the factors that affect it. This section also characterizes the catering facility and its types, which can be operated in the territory of the Slovak Republic according to the valid legislation. In the analytical part, the researched company is characterized in general and then its main product is described. Subsequently, its broader and narrower business environment is presented. All the essentials for starting a business are described, progress of the pandemic in Slovakia and in the region in which the company operates and subsequent restrictions in the business activities of Chaluj Ltd. Using a hybrid interview consisting of a questionnaire completed by the owner of the surveyed catering facility, the business environment in Slovakia is assessed using the IPP index from the Business Alliance of Slovakia and an interview with the business owner who answered questions about how his business was affected by the pandemic and why he operates in this sector. The proposal part suggests how to avoid possible further restrictions, namely the plan to create an outdoor part for seating for customers

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce bolo zhodnotiť podnikateľské prostredie na území Slovenskej republiky pre prevádzku bistra počas pandémie koronavírusu v roku 2021. Pre túto diplomovú tému som si vybral konkrétny podnik, ktorý poskytuje stravovacie služby od roku 2019 a nachádza sa na Námestí svätého Mikuláša v meste Stará Ľubovňa. Teoretická časť je venovaná podnikaniu a jeho účelom, formám podnikania na Slovensku, faktorom, ktoré ho ovplyvňujú. V tejto časti je taktiež charakterizované stravovacie zariadenie a jeho typy, ktoré je možné prevádzkovať na územi Slovenskej republiky podľa platnej legislatívy. V analytickej časti je skúmaný podnik charakterizovaný všeobecne a následne popísaný jeho hlavný a vedľajší. Následne je predstavené jeho širšie a užšie podnikateľské prostredie. Sú popísané všetky náležitosti so začatím podnikania tohto podniku. Vývoj pandémie na Slovensku a v regióne, v ktorom podnik pôsobí a následne obmedzenia v podnikateľskej činnosti podniku Chaluj s. r. o. Pomocou hybridného rozhovoru, ktorý sa skladá z dotazníka, ktorý vyplnil majiteľ skúmaného stravovacieho zariadenia je zhodnotené podnikateľské prostredie na Slovensku pomocou IPP indexu od Podnikateľskej aliancie Slovenska a rozhovoru s majiteľom podniku, ktorý odpovedal na otázky ako jeho podnik ovplyvnila pandémia a prečo podniká v tomto sektore. V návrhovej časti je navrhnuté ako predísť prípadným ďalším obmedzeniam a to plánom ako vytvoriť exteriérovú časť na sedenie pre zákazníkov
