Evaluation of work with geographic data by elementary school students on the example of suburbanization of the Vyškov city

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vyhodnocením manipulace s geografickými daty u žáků základní školy na příkladu suburbanizace města Vyškova. První teoretická část práce vymezuje metodiku a vybrané pojmy, zaměřuje se na definici a problematiku ukotvení geografických dat a procesu suburbanizace v systému kurikulárních dokumentů České republiky, a popis dosažené žákovské úrovně v oblasti schopnosti práce s geografickými daty. V praktické části je na základě klasifikace učebních úloh vytvořen soubor výukových materiálů k tématu suburbanizace, rozvíjející schopnost práce s geografickými daty. Závěr práce je věnován vyhodnocení problémovosti a náročnosti žákovského vypracování jednotlivých úloh skrze evaluační dotazník.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the manipulation of geographic data by elementary school students on the example of suburbanization of the Vyškov city. The first theoretical part defines methodology and selected concepts, focuses on the definition and issue of anchoring geographic data and the process of suburbanization in the system of curricular documents of the Czech Republic and a description of the achieved student's level of ability to work with geographic data. In the practical part, based on the classification of learning tasks, a set of learning materials on the topic of suburbanization, developing the ability to work with geographic data, is created. The end of the thesis is dedicated to the evaluation of the problem and the difficulty of students' elaboration of individual tasks through an evaluation questionnaire.
