Ugliness in Art
Abstract:
Téma mojí bakalářské práce je zobrazení ošklivosti v umění. Hlavní část tvoří praktický umělecký výkon založený na kresebných a fotografických pracích. Mým cílem bylo vytvořit sérií prací, jež má totožnou výpovědní hodnotu, tj. ošklivost. Divák tedy nespatřuje pěkný a příjemný výjev, ale je obklopen nelibými obrazy vyvolávající negativní pocity.
Abstract:
The theme of my bachelor thesis is ugliness in art. Main part is creative art performance based on drawings and photographic works. My goal was to create art works that would represent ugliness in art in general. In other words, an observer does not see nice and pleasant scenes, however, they are surrounded by ugly and uncomfortable scenes that results in negative experience and feelings.
