Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá aspekty pozitivní a negativní diskriminace nebělošských postav v dětských knihách Davida Walliamse. První část se zaměřuje na pozadí autorova života, Walliamsovy vlastní rasové kontroverze, dětský pohled na literaturu a definice pozitivní a negativní diskriminace. Druhá část se zaměřuje na konkrétní postavy z jeho románů pro děti a analýzu diskriminace vůči nim.
Abstract:
This Master’s thesis deals with aspects of positive and negative discrimination of non-white characters in the children’s works of David Walliams. The first part concentrates on the author’s background, Walliams’ own race-related controversies, children’s perspective of literature and definitions of positive and negative discrimination.
