Application Interfaces in Open Banking

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vztah mezi finančními institucemi a technologiemi. Konkrétně se soustředí na vliv otevřeného bankovnictví na tradiční finanční instituce a na příležitosti, které tyto změny znamenají pro podniky a jejich aplikace. Práce nejdříve představuje standardizované bankovní rozhraní a dále zkoumá technickou připravenost jednotlivých bank. Ukazuje nejen jak postupovat při technické integraci, ale i jaké jsou možnosti využití rozhraní v praxi. V neposlední řadě práce analyzuje existující řešení na trhu, čímž představuje implementační příležitosti v oblasti otevřeného bankovnictví.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the relationship between financial institutions and technology. In particular, it concentrates on the impact of open banking on the traditional financial institutions and on the opportunities these changes bring to businesses. The work first presents a standardized banking interface and then examines the API of chosen banks. It shows not only how to proceed with technical integration, but also what are the possibilities of using the interface in practice. Last but not least, the thesis analyzes existing solutions on the market and represents implementation opportunities in the field of open banking.
