Alterace granátu a amblygonitu-montebrasitu v granitických pegmatitech

Alteration of garnet and amblygonite-montebrasite in granitic pegmatites

Abstract:

Byly zkoumány alterace granátu a amblygonitu-montebrasitu z devíti LCT pegmatitů: Tsarafara-Nord a Tamponilapa (Madagaskar); La Viquita (Argentina); Ctidružice, Puklice, Dobrá Voda, Dolní Bory, Nová Ves a Chvalovice (Česká republika). Společným znakem všech zkoumaných alterací je vznik charakteristických modrých lemů okolo alterovaných granátů (almandin/spessartin) a amblygonitu-montebrasitu. Tyto lemy mají světle až tmavě modrou barvu, obvykle dosahují šířky 1-5 mm, a jsou tvořeny jemnozrnnými srůsty modrého turmalínu (Li-bohatý skoryl/fluor-skoryl až Fe-bohatý elbait/fluor-elbait) a křemene. V elbaitovém subtypu pegmatitů vzniká okolo granátů pouze sekundární křemen-turmalínový lem, v lepidolitovém subtypu je součástí lemů také Fe,Mn bohatý polylithionit a Mn-bohatý fluorapatit. Obdobný sekundární turmalín, polylithionit a Mn bohatý fluorapatit vzniká také okolo amblygonitu-montebrasitu, kde probíhá vícefázová alterace. Montebrasit je zachovaný pouze na lokalitě La Viquita, kde je částečně nahrazený childrenitem-eosforitem; ten je starší nebo kogenetický s modrými turmalín-křemennými lemy. Dalšími fázemi alterace je vznik vnitřních lemů mladšího fluorapatitu, následně vznikají minerály crandallitové skupiny a jako poslední jílové minerály. S ohledem na chemizmus, texturu a mikrostrukturu jsou pozorované alterace granátu a amblygonitu-montebrasitu pravděpodobně hydrotermálního původu a proběhly v závěru albitizace či na začátku K,Li metasomatózy (lepidolitizace). Další fáze alterace amblygonitu-montebrasitu probíhaly v závěru hydrotermální aktivity (lemy fluorapatitu), po vykrystalizování celého pegmatitu a během exhumace, zřejmě společně s přínosem fluid z hostitelských hornin (crandallit, goyazit, gorceixit, jílové minerály). Z velké podobnosti chemizmu i mikrostruktury sekundárních asociací minerálů vyplývá, že pozorovaný vývoj je obecně platný a není specifický pro konkrétní pegmatity. Ze složení sekundární asociace lze spolehlivě prokázat, že alterující fluida obsahovala B, F a Li (±K). Přítomnost Al a zřejmě také Fe a Ca jsou vysoce pravděpodobné, kdy Fe je remobilizováno během první fáze albitizace z primárních minerálů (skoryl, trifylín). Chemizmus sekundárních minerálů je značně variabilní, ale prokazatelně odráží také složení alterovaných fází: Sekundární turmalín i polylithionit po granátu mají zvýšený obsah Mn, po amblygonitu-montebrasitu mají zvýšený obsah Li a Al. Po primárním turmalínu vzniká sekundární turmalín bohatý Fe a Mg.

Abstract:

Alteration of garnet and amblygonite-montebrasite was studied at nine localities of LCT granitic pegmatites: Tsarafara-Nord and Tamponilapa (Madagascar); La Viquita (Argentina); Ctidružice, Puklice, Dobrá Voda, Dolní Bory, Nová Ves and Chvalovice (Czech Republic). The common feature of all studied alterations is formation of typical blue rims around altered garnets (almandine/spessartine) and amblygonite-montebrasite. The rims are pale to dark blue, usually 1-5 mm wide, and composed of fine-grained intergrowths of blue tourmaline (Li-rich schorl/fluor-schorl to Fe-rich elbaite/fluor-elbaite) and quartz. The rim is formed by secondary tourmaline and quartz only in elbaite-subtype pegmatites, while Fe,Mn rich polylithionite and Mn-rich fluorapatite are also present in lepidolite-subtype pegmatites. Similar rim assemblage of secondary tourmaline, polylithionite and Mn-rich fluorapatite formed around amblygonite-montebrasite where multi-stage alteration took place. The montebrasite is preserved at La Viquita only, where it was partially replaced by childrenite-eosphorite before or during formation of the blue tourmaline+quartz rims. Subsequent alteration stages include formation of inner rim of fluorapatite, followed by formation of crandallite-group minerals and latest clay minerals. Based on the observed chemical composition, texture and microstructure, the studied garnet and amblygonite-montebrasite alterations are probably of hydrothermal origin, and occurred in the late phase of albitization or at the beginning of K,Li-metasomatism (lepidolitization). Subsequent alteration phases of amblygonite-montebrasite took place at the very end of hydrothermal activity (fluorapatite rims) and after crystallization of the whole pegmatite body and during exhumation, probably during influx of fluids from the host rock (crandallite, goyazite, gorceixite, clay minerals). Similar characteristics of chemical composition and microstructure of secondary mineral assemblages suggest that the observed alteration processes are generic and not specific for specific pegmatites. Chemical composition of secondary minerals proves that the hydrothermal fluids must have contained B, F and Li (±K). Where Fe was remobilized during early phase of albitization from primary minerals (schorl, triphylite), presence of Al and likely also Fe and Ca is highly probable. Chemical composition of secondary minerals is highly variable, but also undoubtedly reflects the composition of altered minerals: secondary tourmaline and polylithionite after garnet have elevated Mn contents, while those after amblygonite-montebrasite have elevated Li and Al contents. Secondary tourmaline after primary tourmaline has elevated contents of Fe and Mg.
