Competitive environment of small breweries

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konkurenčním prostředím malých pivovarů v České republice, konkrétně okolím Prahy 9. Cílem práce je identifikace základních charakteristik konkurenčního prostředí a zhodnocení jejich významu pro vybrané ekonomické subjekty na Praze 9. Sekundárním cílem je navrhnout sadu doporučení pro jednotlivé pivovary a to na základě zjištěných dat během tvorby práce. Teoretická část se věnuje vysvětlení obecných pojmů, objasnění termínu pivo a pivovarnictví, sblížení s historii a následným vymezením ekonomických pojmů a analytických metod. Analytická část se poté věnuje samotné aplikaci zvolených metod a dochází k porovnávání mezi vybranými pivovary v rámci konkurenční analýzy. Cíle bylo dosaženo pomocí analýzy trhu a aplikace analýz PEST, SWOT, Porterova modelu pěti sil a vybraných konkurenčních aspektů. Výsledky analýzy konkurenčního prostředí byly použity k vytvoření návrhové části práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the competitive environment of small breweries in the Czech Republic, specifically around Prague 9. The aim is to identify the basic characteristics of the competitive environment and evaluate their importance for selected economic entities in Prague 9. The secondary goal is to design a set of recommendations for individual breweries based on the data obtained during the creation of the work. The theoretical part is devoted to the explanation of general concepts, clarification of the term beer and brewing, approximation of history and the subsequent definition of economic concepts and analytical methods. The analytical part then deals with the application of selected methods and there is a comparison between selected breweries in the competitive analysis. The goal was achieved through market analysis and the application of PEST, SWOT, Porter's model of five forces and selected competitive aspects. The results of the analysis of the competitive environment were used to create the proposes part of the work.
