Tématem práce je v nejširším smyslu hudební symbolika. V užším smyslu se práce zabývá popisem a kritickým zhodnocením hudebně rétorických figur v díle Joachima Burmeistera. Ve svém spisu Musica Poetica vytvořil jasný a přehledný systém hudebně rétorických figur, který opatřil řadou hudebních příkladů. The topic of the thesis is a musical symbology. In particular, the thesis is concerned with description and critical evaluation of musical-rhetorical ornaments in Joachim Burmeister's work. In his publication Musica Poetica, Burmeister has made a clear system of such ornaments. He has accompanied the system with musical examples.
