Case study of the words keff and jalla. The loanwords from suburban Swedish
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá analýzou dvou arabských výpůjček z předměstské švédštiny – keff a jalla. Na základě korpusu složeného z archivu vybraných švédských deníků a internetových blogů zkoumá, jaká je frekvence výskytu slov v denním tisku, jaké významy si mluvčí se slovy spojují a k jakým slovním druhům je možné slova zařadit.
Abstract:
This diploma thesis analyses two Arabic loanwords from suburban Swedish language – keff and jalla. On the basis of the corpus that is set up from archive of selected Swedish newspapers and internet blogs, this paper analyses the frequency of word occurrence in newspapers, the meanings the spokesmen and spokeswomen associate with the loanwords and finally tries to answer the question to which word class …more
