Electricity Market in the Czech Republic: Strategy of Electricity Purchasing for Production Plants

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá aktuální analýzou trhu s elektřinou v České republice a rozborem možných strategií nákupu elektřiny pro výrobní podnik. Cílem práce je blíže popsat liberalizaci trhu s elektřinou, účastníky trhu a mechanismy stanovení ceny elektrické energie. Dalšími cíli práce je popsání specifického postavení skupiny ČEZ na českém trhu, uvedení faktorů ovlivňujících cenu elektřiny a zamyšlení se nad budoucím vývojem ceny elektrické energie. Závěrečná část práce se věnuje praktické strategii nákupu elektřiny ve společnosti ABC s.r.o. Výsledkem této práce by měl být odborný návod a doporučení pro pracovníky zodpovědné za nákup elektřiny pro výrobní podniky, tak aby byli schopni pochopit vztahy a mechanismy, které ovlivňují cenu elektrické energie a chování trhu s elektřinou a správně zvolit nákupní strategii.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the analysis of the current electricity market in the Czech Republic and that possible strategies when purchasing electricity for a manufacturing enterprise. The goal of this work is to describe the liberalization of the electricity market, market participants and electricity pricing mechanisms in detail. Another aim of the study is to describe the specific status of the ČEZ group on the Czech market, introducing the factors affecting the price of electricity and reflecting on the future development of electricity prices. The final part is devoted to the practical strategy of buying electricity at the ABC s.r.o. company. The result of this work should be professional guidance and recommendations on how to ?make head or tail of? in the electricity market, for people responsible for purchasing electricity for manufacturing companies so that they would be able to understand the relationships and mechanisms dominating the electricity market, which influence the cost of electricity and conduct of electricity market.
