Teoretická část diplomové práce vymezuje pojmy sociální konstruktivismus, integrovaná výuka, vrstevnické vyučování, skupinové a kooperativní vyučování, zabývá se problematikou malotřídních škol, problematikou výchovy ke zdraví na školách a s ní spojeným projektem „Ovoce do škol“, zabývá se vztahy rodiny a školy.
