Development of the Author Concept and its Current Position in the Graphic Software Areas

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the concept of the authorship, the perception of the author, the development of the concept of the authorship and its position in the field of the graphics software nowadays. It presents the confrontation of the authorship and the role of the author in the process of the digitized creation. It points out the potential limits and the possibilities. The topic is presented in the theory as well - the development of the subject and the opinions of contemporary theorist and experts are reflected. The subject is presented by means of the reflection of the particular process of creation using the graphics software. These results and the conclusions achieved in the theoretical part are confronted with the opinions of the authors and artists who use the graphics software as a tool of expression. The subject is studied in the interactional process of creation in which the artist creates his work using the particular graphics software but he does not edit the source code of the software.

Abstract:

Táto magisterská diplomová práca sa zaoberá koncepciou autorstva a vnímaním autora, vývojom a súčasnou pozíciou v prostredí grafického softvéru. Predstavuje spor, ktorý vzniká v konfrontácii polohy autorstva a samotnej úlohy autora v procese digitalizovanej tvorby a poukazuje na prípadné limity, respektíve rozšírenia. Danú situáciu práca ilustruje v teoretickej rovine, v ktorej predstavuje vývoj problematiky a reflektuje polohy súčasných teoretikov a odborníkov. Skúmanú problematiku sa snaží priblížiť na základe reflexie záznamu konkrétneho procesu tvorby v prostredí grafického softvéru. Závery vyplývajúce z predstaveného procesu a teoretickej časti konfrontuje so stanoviskami samotných autorov, výtvarníkov, využívajúcich k svojej práci grafický softvér. Problematika bude skúmaná v rámci interakčného procesu tvorby, v ktorom umelec kreuje dielo bez zásahu do kódu a to na základe konkrétnych softvérových programov určených na editáciu a tvorbu obrazu.
